Southeast Kansas Recycling takes a variety of materials. Because commodity prices are at historic lows, we’re taking fewer materials than we have in the past, but this is to help us not spend time sorting materials that make us lose money. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these changes to keep recycling in Southeast Kansas!

Please sort and/or clean your materials before bringing them to SEK Recycling!

  • Can have ink written or printed on it.

    White Printer/ Copier Paper (Can also have ink written or printed on it)

  • Cardboard, Paper Bags, Brown Paperboard & and Brown Packing Paper

  • Newsprint or sale ads from the paper & Gray Packing Paper

  • Aluminum Beverage Cans ONLY

  • Tin Cans (sticks to a magnet)

  • #1 Plastics (Water, Soda, Juice & Pill Bottles)some have color

  • #2 Natural Plastics (Has NO color or dyes)

  • Glass (Clear & Colored) /NO Pyrex, Corning Ware, Clay or Light Bulbs

  • CLEAN Clothes, Shoes, Belts, & Bags (No Pillows or Fabric Scraps)

  • #2 Solid Colored Plastics (Cannot see through them)

  • Scrap Metal Drop Off/ Wednesdays 10-5

  • E-Waste Drop Off/ Wednesdays 10-5
